Union Presbyterian Church

We love and value youth here at UPC! We cherish those young people who are a part of our church family and we always hope that more young people will join us. Youth are encouraged to participate fully in the life of our congregation. We have youth who serve on our Session (our church’s ruling body) and who have served as Deacons. We encourage them to share their gifts with us, and we hope that they are fed, spiritually, emotionally, and physically, at UPC.

Our youth group that meets twice a month, usually every other week. We meet from 5:30PM until 7:00PM, and dinner is served with each meeting. We participate in mission events, fellowship events, and spiritual events, knowing that a healthy balance fo all of these components lead to spritual growth and maturity. We provide a meal for guests of the Family Promise ministry; we provide a meal to college students at the University of Wisconsin in Madison who attend “Pres House” (a Presbyterian campus ministry); we collect food items for the Green County Food Pantry; we participate in the annual “Souper Bowl”; we’ve visited a cornfield maze; we’ve gone on a retreat together; each year we attend a University of Wisconsin hockey game; etc. We always enjoy being together and we invite you to join us!

We know that the teenage years can be confusing and challenging at times. A life of faith can help us to deal with the highs and lows of our journey. If you are looking for a daily devotional, check out this link:

Each year we always take a mission trip together. Montreat, a PCUSA retreat center in North Carolina, is one of our favorite destinations. We try to make it there every few years. This summer we are headed to Chicago to participate in the D.O.O.R. Program; each day we’ll experience some of the various ministries happening in Chicago.

Presbyterian Youth Triennium is a gathering for high school age youth from the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the Cumberland Presbyterian Church that occurs every three years. The 2016 event is July 19-23, 2016 at Purdue University. The theme for the 2016 event is “GO”. For additional information check out this information sheet:
