REV. SUE ELLIS MELROSE, Interim Pastor
A native Oklahoman, Sue Ellis Melrose is an Honorably Retired member of John Knox Presbytery. She is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma (BA), Union Theological Seminary in NYC (M.Div.), and McCormick Theological Seminary (D.Min.). Ordained in 1973, she has served churches in the Bronx, northwest New Jersey, and suburban Detroit. After “retirement” she has served as interim pastor in Detroit and most recently in Horicon, WI. Sue moved to Madison with her husband Paul nearly three years ago to be closer to their to family living in Sun Prairie. They are the parents of two children, Rebecca and Ian. She enjoys traveling, reading mysteries, and walking.
LISA HALE, Administrative Assistant
Lisa Hale is a long-time Monroe native and lifelong Wisconsin resident. She joined the staff of UPC as the Administrative Assistant in December 2009. Lisa loves interacting with all who come through our doors and is often busy with phone calls, the weekly worship bulletin, maintaining our website and calendar, as well as ordering supplies, etc. Lisa is married and has four children and four grandchildren. Lisa enjoys music, reading, cooking, and travel. She’s an avid and devoted Green Bay Packer fan as well as the Wisconsin Badgers and feels fortunate to have been to three Green Bay Packer games! She also enjoys playing cribbage, but most of all, she loves spending time with and enjoying life with her family and friends.
